Dr. Joseph L. Berg

Psy.D., BCBA

For over 25 years, Dr. Berg has been a dedicated advocate for individuals and families navigating complex developmental and behavioral challenges. As Founder and Clinical Director of Applied Behavior Solutions (ABS), he brings a unique blend of deep clinical expertise and a genuine heart for service to everything he does.

With a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Board Certification in Behavior Analysis, Dr. Berg’s background is rooted in high-level science, but his focus is always on the person behind the data. Before founding ABS in 2004, he served as the Director of Behavioral Sciences at Mactown and spent years mentoring the next generation of therapists as a clinical supervisor for graduate students at the University of Miami, FIU and various others higher learning institutions.

Dr. Berg leads the team with a simple philosophy: every individual deserves a personalized, evidence-based plan that actually works. He’s known for his “multidisciplinary” approach—meaning he looks at the whole picture to ensure the best possible outcomes.

When he’s not at the clinic, Dr. Berg is a licensed pilot who finds that the focus and

perspective he gains in the cockpit helps him stay balanced and grounded in his clinical work.
